Spring Water / Bottled Water
Spring Water: Origin water is from our own natural spring, being a body of water that rises to the surface under its own pressure - a fissure spring. Our water meets the criteria for hard water and is moderately high in TDS, therefore a very healthy water to drink.

Bottled Water: Many bottled waters are simply processed ground bore water, or water which has been distilled, de-ionised, filtered or undergone reverse osmosis treatment. With so many brands available, which one do you choose when most have been processed in one way or another? Just because it's bottled water does not mean it fulfills the criteria for a 'healthy' water.
Ideally purchase natural spring water that meets or comes close to the criteria outlined for hardness (Ca & Mg) and TDS.
Tap Water
The amount of chemical compounds discharged in our water, directly or indirectly is staggering. Even with drinking water standards we cannot be assured that the tap water we are drinking is not going to lead to ill health. Fluoride and chlorine are some of the carcinogenic agents present in tap water, along with up to 50 other chemicals.
Fluoride - Worldwide, there is very little fluoridation.
"The damage fluoride does is far greater than the good it may accomplish" - Dr C.W Heard, Dentist
Chlorine - "Chlorine is so dangerous that it should be banned. I believe if Chlorine was now proposed for the first time to be used in drinking water, it would be banned by the Food & Drug Administration " - Dr Herbert Schwartz, Biologist / Chemist
Distillation and Reverse Osmosis
These methods remove chemicals and impurities but produce a soft water low in TDS and without calcium and magnesium which is not very healthy to drink. It can also takes at least 5 litres of tap water to produce 1 litre of drinking water which will cost you more and waste water. Not only is this a hidden cost to you, but with Australia's current water shortage, this is a waste we cannot afford.
Filters
There are a huge selection of filters on the market, varying in price and performance. The quality of water coming into your home in the first place must be taken into consideration.
Filters will reduce the chemicals in your water and make it smell and taste better. However, they will also lower the levels of beneficial minerals and soften the water. They will not eliminate all harmful bacteria and if regular service is not carried out, bacteria will develop.
